Wireless access points (AP) Mode
Wireless access points (AP) are specially configured nodes on wireless local area networks (WLANs). Access points act as a central transmitter and receiver of WLAN radio signals. The most basic mode of multi-function Access Point is Access Point mode. In this mode, the AP will act as a central hub for different Wireless LAN clients. Some hotspots APs requires 802.1x authenticator function to authenticate a user before providing internet service. Used in home or small office environment is the most common.
